Inside the Vegan Cuts February Beauty Box

Thursday, March 10, 2016

Oh yeah, back at it again with another Vegan Cuts Beauty Box review for you guys!
You probably already know plenty about Vegan Cuts (and my obsession with them) from
my past Snack, Beauty, & Yoga Box reviews. But incase you are not familiar-- Vegan Cuts
is a monthly subscription box & online marketplace that delivers the highest quality of vegan
beauty, fashion, and food products from the most honorable companies in the industry right
to your door for $19.95 a month +  free US shipping ($8 to Canada + $15 internationally).

Inside you will find 4-7 sample or full sized products such as new items from brands you
already love, the next big thing to fall in love with, and buzzworthy products that your friends
keep talking about. All of which are curated with love by some of your favorite leading people
in the vegan community.  If you like what you find inside of your box (trust me.. you will),
you can easily pick up the full sized version from the Vegan Cuts Marketplace!

February's beauty box was a "winter beauty wonderland" of a thrill to get, since all of the
contents were full-sized items! Giving this box a major value, and a super luxurious feel. All items
in this month's box are very universal and super impressive. Each product really complements
the seasonal transition of winter to spring. I definitely discovered some new favorites inside of the Vegan Cuts February beauty box, that will become staples in my beauty routine.
Check out what was inside...

Harvey Prince Yogini Rollerball Perfume- $23
I have never heard of Harvey Prince before, so I was excited to discover this product inside
of my Vegan Cuts Beauty Box. In doing a little research on the brand, I found that Harvey Prince
keeps their eco-conscious products free of harmful chemicals like phthalates, sulfates,
parabens, benzene, GMOs, and triclosan. HP only uses the finest organic ingredients that
are FDA-certified safe, and made with food grade coloring. So yes, pregnant women
can feel safe about smelling good too. Totally into all of that!

Obviously, I’m obsessed with the name of this fragrance— Yogini! While this scent is definitely
an acquired one for most, it’s a fantastic stress-relieving scent alternative to an essential oil blend.
Yogini is a light, long lasting, and calming scent with an earthy and floral touch. With notes
of sandalwood, egyptian myrrh, golden amber, pink grapefruit, blackcurrant buds, lily of the valley,
star jasmine, rose petals, ylang-ylang, cardamom, and madagascar vanilla…
it’s definitely one to try. Plus, this roller ball is the perfect size to keep in your purse!

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Dual-Ended Creamstick (Chocolate/Champagne)- $18
As a self-proclaimed makeup hoarder.. I try to layer my products as much as possible, to get the most use out of them. One of my favorite things to do is use chubby pencils like this 100% Pure dual
ended creamstick as a base for loose pigment, to add extra dimension to a look. I am a huge fan
of 100% Pure products, so I was stoked to try out and add this one to my makeup collection. Not
only does it glide on super creamy, but it’s full of nourishing vitamins, antioxidants, sea minerals.
Their name is not 100% Pure for nothing either. This formula is made with the purest of oils,
pigments, and waxes. making it the perfect choice for the most sensitive of eyes.

The Wonder Seed English Daisy Facial Cream- $16.95
Just in time for spring! I’m looking forward to incorporating this light, and refreshing moisturizer
into my new seasonal routine. I prefer using a balancing, and fresh (naturally) scented cream like
this one in the morning. Don’t be afraid of the word oil! Hemp seed oil is easily absorbed by the
skin, anti-aging, scientifically proven to be a healing agent, improves skin texture, and is one
of the world’s richest sources of essential fatty acids. Hemp seed oil is great for helping skin
issues like Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, and Rosacea. The Wonder Seed’s cream will nourish the
skin, lock-in moisture, and balance your natural oil profile. Not to mention it meets high
standards for being free of parabens, sulfates, gluten, artificial fragrance and color.
Definitely a must-try line for anyone with tricky skin.

Tara Smith Haircare Base Coat Hair Serum- $13
I was invited to the brand launch for Tara Smith last June, and was not able to make it.
But ever since then, the brand has been on my watch list, and I’m very excited to finally try it!
Tara has years of experience as a celebrity hair stylist, and totes the phrase “tested on film stars, not on animals” (loveeee it) to all the products she creates. The brand stands behind an all vegan,
cruelty & gluten-free promise on their high-performance haircare products.

This hair serum in particular contains botanicals & professional-grade ingredients like starflower
seed extract, which helps lock in moisture and send hydration to the areas your hair needs it most.
As well as Tegosoft CT, which is derived from coconut oil and is a natural emollient that makes
your hair extra smooth. This baby will control high-humidity frizz for up to 24 hours, and keep hair
manageable while adding an eye-catching shine (clinically proven by 65%) to your locks.
Can we also talk about how cute the packaging is, featuring the pretty little Galah Bird?!

Blushing Pink on GALentine's Day

Tuesday, March 8, 2016

You may have already seen my obnoxiously pink-obsessed Valentine's day look on Instagram
If not, here it is in full force (hahah). Nicole and I were on our way to a killer GALentine's day
brunch she was hosting at MiUSA Winebar in Brooklyn for a bunch of her friends.
MiUSA is seriously such a little hidden gem! Special thanks to Nicole and MiUSA for hosting
such a darling little Valentine's day brunch. I can not wait to go back. Yes, I had to leave the fiancé
at home, but he patiently waited till I finally came home from a much needed girls day.

Anyways, Valentine's day was the perfect excuse for me to pink-it-up in this cozy little coat
that Sheinside had sent me just in time for V-day. It's already feeling like spring here in NYC,
but I can not wait until it's official, so I can prance around in it again (without a jumbo jacket on top)!

AWEAR- The Eco-Friendly Eyewear Line To Watch This Year

Friday, March 4, 2016

Hey guys! I wanted to share with you an eyewear collection that was recently introduced
to me called AWEAR- a new eco-friendly line by Charmant that launched this past January.
I’m really a fan of the company’s conscious commitment to the environment through their design
and production process. The debut collection offers women’s, men’s, and unisex styles of
sunglasses and opticals. AWEAR's frames are lightweight, made with sustainable materials,
come in so many fun colors, and are an accessory that you can feel good about wearing!

AWEAR's frames and lenses are all made with sustainable materials like bio-based plastic that
absorbs CO2 in raw form. The plant-based plastic also does not require a clear finished coating,
which substantially saves water. Energy consumption is also reduced, thanks to each temple
piece being hand-assembled. Yes, hand-assembled. Did I mention that they are also recyclable?!
You guys, even their cases and demo displays are made of recycled material! Needless to say,
I am all in. This is one eco-conscious brand to keep your eye on (see what I did there, haha) this year.

What I'm Wearing:
